Popol Vuh Part II

When I started reading Part II of the Popoh Vuh, I was very confused because of all the characters. However, I began to understand the characters more clearly as I read further. After the animals put back the trees, Hunahpu and Xbalanque were trying to catch the animals and were only able to grab the deer and rabbit's tail. I found this very interesting. The reason deers and rabbits have short tails is because the tail of the deer and rabbit remained in caught in their hands.
